11:00-11:50 AM
Some of the most powerful storytelling in film happens beyond what characters say. Lens choice, camera movement, production design, pacing, and music all shape how an audience feels and understands a story. This panel explores how filmmakers can use the camera as an active storytelling tool rather than relying on conventional framing. Through specific film examples and practical insight drawn from reviewing over 200 films a year and consulting with independent filmmakers, attendees will learn how intentional visual and sonic choices strengthen narrative clarity. Filmmakers are encouraged to bring questions about where they may feel stuck in their own projects.
