Summary:
The planet Helluin orbits the binary Sirius A and B. Two teen boys and their astrophysicist parents are the only residents of a barren world which is an observatory trying to find a planet they can move their people to because Sirius B is a white dwarf that will soon go nova. They discover earth, but rule it out even though they enjoy going there on vacation. Their boys learn about skateboarding and want to give it a try, but the parents refuse. The boy take the family spaceship without permission to go to earth on their own. They did not know they would be followed by space pirates.
